Let’s Talk About the Pros and Cons of EveryPlate
EveryPlate is a popular meal delivery service for people who are looking for a convenient, budget-friendly option.
However, even the most user-friendly, cheap services have some cons. Let's delve into that!
Affordability: EveryPlate focuses on low prices and simplicity, their meals start at $4.99/serving. They also offer great student specials and frequently run promotional deals.
Convenience: Their easy-to-follow recipes are foolproof and designed for busy people. They ship 7 days a week right to your doorstep.
Flexibility: The flexible ordering options make it easy to increase the number of meals per week once and then go back without needing to take the detour via customer service. You can also cancel or change your order 5 days before delivery.
No Options for Speciality Diets: Because EveryPlate focuses on low prices, they are unable to cater to some diets such as vegans, or people on keto diets for examples
Shipping Costs: Whilst many other meal delivery services offer free shipping, you have to pay shipping separately, making it a significant cost for couples buying for themselves each week.
My Personal Experience with EveryPlate
I recently decided to give EveryPlate, to give my wallet a bit of a break. Skeptical about the quality of the meals, given the cheap price, I was left pleasantly surprised.
Their ordering process was a breeze, I was guided through the various options and decided to opt for their classic Meat & Veggie menu options.
As I was buying for myself, I decided to order 3 meals for 2 people, as I had one dinner meal for lunch the next day.
The ingredients ended up on my front door as expected, packaged with ice and insulators, which kept the meat frozen.
Meals I tried:
- Creamy Lemon herb Chicken with Roasted Sweet Potato and Carrots
- Sesame Pork Rice Bowls with Creamy Slaw & Spicy Mayo
- Caramelized Zucchini Linguine with Lemony Parmesan Cream Sauce
Given the low price point, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ingredients. My package included fresh produce and decent cuts of meat.
The menu cards were also easy to follow, and only left me with a couple of pans to wash up by the end!
The meals themselves were surprisingly tasty, with flavors that surpassed my expectations.
Overall, I’m happy to recommend EveryPlate to friends and family (and to you!) – especially those who are cutting back on food spending or short on time.
