What You Can Expect
The founder, Steve Schwartz, regularly travels around the world to tie personal relationships with the carefully chosen tea farmers and distributors. Art of Tea makes sure that both the employees and teas are treated with great respect during the production. In other words – tea that leaves a good taste in your mouth!

Mostly Organic
Currently, about 85% of their teas are certified organic. The reason not all of their teas are certified organic is mainly because some producers cannot afford to get certified, or that certain ingredients are not available in an organic version.
Taste Tests
Each batch of tea from Art of Tea is taste-tested to ensure the highest quality when it arrives to you, no matter the time of the year.
Re-steep
Note that most teas are made to be steeped multiple times! The taste profile is unique for each steeping, meaning that new flavors will emerge for each time. It is recommended to re-steep within a few hours. Herbal teas are not always suitable for resteeping.
How to Store Your Teas
For the longest shelf life, teas should be stored:
- dry
- as airtight as possible
- out of direct sunlight
- away from heat
Tea absorbs any surrounding aromas and can be damaged by UV light. An excellent way to store your teas is in the foil-lined, resealable black bags that your Art of Tea blends come in. The shelf life is around 18 months.

They offer flexibility in that you can buy single teas or sign up for a subscription. Choose between black teas, herbal teas, caffeine-free versions, and much more.
The Pu Erh tea. Pu Erh is a special kind of fermented tea produced in the Yunnan province of China. The tea is processed in a special way to encourage microbial fermentation after the leaves are dried. It can be counted into the category of aged teas, and ages more dynamically than any other tea out there.
For a tea to be considered Pu Erh, it must be grown in the Yunnan region bordering Laos and Burma. It must also be made from the large-leaf subspecies Camellia sinensis var. assamica.
The Chinese government has declared it protected origin product, which is a rarity among teas! The tea is sold in cakes that vary in flavor as they age from more bitter and harsh to smoother and sweeter.
A good entrance point into the universe of teas can be flavored tea and black tea that is less sensitive for brewing points.
Teas that are less sensitive to being over-brewed, such as Formosa Oolong. Formosa Oolong is a green tea that doesn't turn bitter in taste when brewing for too long as some green teas do. Flavored teas are also an easy way to start drinking tea. Black tea can be easier to get right than green tea for a beginner.
